About the Design:
Omann Jun Møbelfabrik A/S was founded by Andreas Omann in 1933. The family run business started out making bedroom furniture, but in the 1950's they expended to dining room furniture, dry bars, credenzas and desks. Mostly made of teak and rosewood. These pieces are high end designs, quality and features many hallmarks of Scandinavian modernist design, like beautiful grained surfaces, tapered legs, sliding doors, and beveled edges. Some of the best design coming out of Denmark.
Original Danish Modern designs made in the 1950’s-60’s and feature classic mid-century designs and craftsmanship. We personally refurbish all the teak and rosewood pieces in our workshop in Jersey City.We source all our products from private homes in Denmark. Our owner Lars, travels across his native country, knocking on doors, meeting people on the street, going to markets and building a network of personal sellers.
