Danish designer Poul Henningsen’s three-shade system of lighting was first designed in the 1920s, leading to more than a thousand models produced over the years. In 1974, on the 80th anniversary of Henningsen’s birth, lighting manufacturer Louis Poulsen introduced the PH 80 Floor Lamp in his honor.
Glossy on top and matte on the underside, the three shades in the PH 80 Floor Lamp have a 3:2:1 size ratio, which allows them to reflect light downward and slightly outward.
The result is a soft, evenly distributed glow that adds warmth to a living, dining, bedroom, or office space.

There is a science behind Danish Modern design. The world famous school of design in Copenhagen have made numbers of studies from the perfect height of a chair to how deep a cabinet should be.
 
We personally refurbish all the teak and rosewood pieces in our workshop in Jersey City. We source all our products from private homes in Denmark. Our owner Lars, travels across his native country, knocking on doors, meeting people on the street, going to markets and building a network of personal sellers.
